 He was born 8. September 1939 in Kostolná Ves, Prievidza region. In 1957 graduated at JSŠ in Handlová. He received qualifications in mathemathics and physics  at  VŠP in Bratislava. He worked as a lecturer at the Institute of Paedagogy in Martin in 1963.He left there and after 1. 9. 1964 he worked at the Department of Mathemathics at Žilina University. He keenly helped a lot of students dealing with mathematical competitions. In 1972 he was given the title CSc. (PhD.) at The Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Comenius. In 1983 he was named an associate professor.

In his research he dealt especially with simple differential equations and their asimptotic and oscillatory qualities, , rovniciam s posunutým argumentom ako aj systémom týchto rovníc.

He died 4. May 1994 in Žilina.
